Meet Emily Dangremond

Emily Dangremond always thought she was going to grow up and study animals in the rainforest…until she went to the rainforest and found out it was hot, dark, and the only animals easily seen were biting insects.

Nothing against biting insects, but Emily was fortunate to start working with a scientist studying endangered plants on coastal sand dunes, and she was hooked on plants. They don’t bite! They don’t run away! They need our help!
